A gun? No. A weapon? No. A new aircraft or vehicle? No. It's a gang. A very deadly gang to be exact. MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, originally operated in Los Angeles in the 80's. Since then, it has established itself in the large U.S. cities and many North and Central American countries. With over 70,000 members, you better believe that this is a big gang.
They are usually covered in tattoos and used to all have face tattoos. They have their own communication methods as well. Though the gang was originally established to protect Salvadoran immigrants from other gangs, it has evolved to trafficking drugs, etc. Members like Jose Abrego have been deported four times from the U.S.! You would think that immigration would have caught on by then... The gang is ruthless and members will kill innocent people for no reason. Members will kill people just because of the clothing they wear or because they are driving too slow. Horrible. As I quote Donald Trump, they really are animals.
The spread of MS-13 is wide and expanding. It is still the only street gang that the U.S. government categorizes as "transnational criminal organization". What is especially dangerous is that many members are only teens, people who are less than 18. Scary. Their motto literally means "kill, rape, control".
MS-13 is more than just a local gang. It is a gang with international framework and extends across numerous countries. Think about how much they are hurting economies and well-being of countries. Now that it has infected western nations, it will be hard to remove them.
