5 Times Peace Wasn't Achieved Until Later

I'm changing things up, so here are five times peace took a while to happen even after conflicts ended.

1. Germany
Sure, Germany caused a bunch of mayhem during the two world wars, but it's interesting that Germany actually wasn't completely unified until about 1989 with the fall of the Berlin Wall.

2. Korea
You probably know that the Koreas have technically never signed an official peace treaty. The border between the two countries is the most heavily-guarded in the world.

3. Vietnam
Vietnam technically took decades to unify even after it broke free from colonization. Thanks America and China.

4. Russia and China
Those two have been on and off,, but they didn't actually establish the border in Siberia until the late 90's and early 2000's. The conflict has basically started since the Qing Dynasty started waning in the 1800's. We also have the infamous on and off relationship from the 50s and on.

5. Cuba and the US
Conflict has been going on for a while, and diplomacy finally resumed in 2016 with Obama leaving office. They used to be good trading allies. I guess the US shouldn't have pissed off the people by installing a dictator in place.
