Neo-Nazism in the US Today

Check out #NewnanStrong

See the source imageThe Neo-Nazis are one of the most hated groups in America. They are just a bunch of White supremacist branding themselves as believers of Nazi ideology and role-playing as SS officers. And this actually hits home because regrettably, the annual national meeting for the Neo-Nazi group will be held in Newnan, Ga, just 10-15 minutes from my house in the neighbouring city. It's quite disgusting quote honestly. So why? Why are they still there? who in their right mind would preach such horrible thoughts and ideology? Well, obviously people with nothing much better to do. I mean when an overwhelming part of the country hates you, it must be tough.

Neo-Nazi, the KKK, Alt-right, we hear them and we sometimes even fear them. How is it that they have infiltrated so deeply into our lives? Let's look at a quick historical overview. Nazis are of course originally from Germany and they basically were supremacists and called for execution and removal of other races. Yea, that sucked for a lot of people, But basically, that hatred for other groups has spread to the US where groups of people believe in the words of Hitler and the Nazi party that the white race is superior and that others should move aside. these days they claim they are harmless groups that are only looking to spread their message. Are they wrong? Well, no. constitutionally they have the right to express their views in a peaceful way. Peaceful is the problem because they usually never end well...Charlottesville last year is a pristine example.

Together with other hate groups, the Neo-Nazis constitute the far-right, which has sprung up in the past few years to throw their support behind US president Trump in hopes of spreading their message against immigration. They have been gaining more media attention and have been attracting more members, but that doesn't mean that they are succeeding. They really aren't, because they are fighting against 99% of the population and they are always facing resistance.

These people will always exist, and we can't force them to change their views because they have the right to be. They may be despicable people but our American judicial system protects them as much as you and I. So Perhaps this movement may be growing steadily stronger but the amount of backlash is also growing so in the end, they are still shut off. Sure, they'll get media attention every once in a while, which makes them look bad and can also attract members. It's a win-lose situation.
