Cancelled

Well, rest in peace, because it looks like the Kim-Trump summit has been canceled. After a US-South Korea drill, North Korea got pissed and started with its familiar rhetoric again, and said that they were considering canceling the meeting. Well, the US took a hard-line approach and also decided to cancel it. What a shocking turn of events (not really). Trump and the White House announced that they are deciding not to meet with North Korea in June.

Well, both sides are to blame. The US and South Korea were doing their planned exercise, but maybe they could've delayed that or done something else so as to not provoke anyone? And also, the North started acting too cocky and tried to make it seem like they were in charge of the whole summit and that the US is just weak and is begging to meet with them. Nope, not the case. Finally, we have China. Dictator Xi Jinping (I call him a dictator because that's basically what he is now) has started to warm up to North Korea. After that unplanned meeting a while back and increased communication between the two nations, North Korea feels more powerful and less inclined to act all nice and warmly toward the US.

Apparently, the North Korean government refused to respond to the US for days and continued with its attacks on the US and said stuff how VP Mike Pence was a "political dummy". I mean come on, why would you do that?

So what about South Korea? No doubt Moon Jae-In is pissed. After all, they did pledge to work closely and all of that. Looks like that won't be happening soon. South Korea will probably still play the "bigger man" role and not do anything provocative, but it is Rocket Man who brings concern. JUst now, he says he does not full denuclearization even though just a while back he hinted at that. Well, RIP. 

Apparently, North Korea actually destroyed a nuclear site just before Trump announced the cancellation? I mean who knows, that could be fake and all of that. 

So was it the right decision to pull out of the meeting. Actually, probably because it would have just been too messy and not organized.
