Quality of Life

We saw how months ago, Saudia Arabia finally took the step to allow women to drive cars. The reclusive Kingdom, wealthy from oil, has been lacking behind the rest of the world. Women still can't obtain other basic rights, and everything seems just a bit outdated. Obviously not in the case of technology or anything, as they do have access to advanced technology. Now, the government wants to spend over $13.3 billion to improve entertainment, education, etc., per Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's discretion. It's part of Saudi Arabia's Vision Realizations Programs 2030.

This new program, called "Quality of Life", will take a few years to unravel, and is projected to significantly improve living standards throughout. Additionally, it will create over 300,000 new jobs, which is spectacular. These changes all fall into the new era of Saudi Arabia. In fact, just about a week or two ago, they finally opened up cinemas again and allowed for concerts to be held. This shows how countries are beginning to finally open up. You can only hold yourself back so much to finally realize that you have a lot to catch up. That's not saying that they can't keep their traditions and customs. As a conservative Muslim nation, Saudi Arabia must also incorporate the adherence to Islam while balancing out reforms so that people of all spectra will be satisfied.

The thing is, oil income is falling  I mean look at these new EVs that are being developed. so how does a country that relies heavily on oil remain intact and strong? The first solution is to embrace reform and change an to seek different opportunities. By allowing citizens more freedom, Saudi Arabia is setting up its economy to take drastic turns in the coming years because oil will probably be much lower in the next 20 years when compared to today.

The kingdom wants more foreign investors and to diversify its economy while also improving their cities to make them the top in the world, just like their neighbors, the United Arab Emirates.
