The irony is that is not exactly happening. Right, jobs are pouring back into the states, but there also some jobs lost. With the US-China trade war, there are losses and gains on both sides. So the US is actually losing some business. Some small businesses are hurt by the tariffs and restrictions and are thus either laying off workers or shutting down altogether, such as Element Electronics, perhaps the only major TV assembler left in the US. Many parts used in assembling from the tariff list come from China, and it's causing the company to shut down. Now, obviously this is a temporary issue (hopefully), and it is just one of a handful of businesses hurt. Let’s look in the long run where those parts may be removed from the list as the government looks for the ideal products from China to be heavily taxed.
