The MBS is in Trouble

Recently the world is embroiled in the controversy over Saudi journalist Khashoggi's alleged murder at the hands of the Saudis at the embassy in Turkey. What started as a problem involving two nations has eventually brought on, you guessed it, the U.S. and the whole world. So what's the deal?

In November, a journalist from Saudi Arabia, Jamal Khashoggi, who was known for being against Saudi Arabia's regime, was never seen after entering the embassy in Turkey. So obviously that was a big deal because first, they had to find out where he was and what happened to him. Eventually, the paths directed back to the Crown Prince, MBS (Mohammed bin Salman). He is believed to have ordered the killing of Khashoggi.

Even the CIA has gotten involved. In a rare bipartisan support, senators and legislators in the U.S. all believe in the MBS's involvement in this execution.

Yet, Donald Trump seems hesitant to criticize Saudi Arabia. Why? Well, the reason is plain and simple. He doesn't want to upset Saudi Arabia, especially after that huge arms deal a while back. But still, he should at least condone and call them out. We'll see though.

It doesn't help that at the G20 summit in Argentina. Putin high-fived the MBS. Two hated people treating each other friends doesn't exactly put off a positive image.
